Harvest Gamer - Harvest is Plentiful, Labourers Few

After five years of unknown progress , Nivalis Nights is finally releasing next week. It would be funny if they pull back the release day at this point. But it's still one of my most anticipated games of 2026. Nivalis Nights is a cyberpunk life-sim set in the city of Nivalis. Players will build their home, manage businesses, and create relationships in the cyberpunk city of Nivalis. It is also the same city to its sibling delivery sim game Cloudpunk .  Perhaps to save more possibilities to the name (and IP) of Nivalis, the game has been rebranded to Nivalis Nights with a release date on September 29 on Steam. Additionally, I have a holiday on the next day. I'm getting this game because there isn't quite like it - a cyberpunk life sim game.  The game will feature a curfew system which reminds me of Schedule I . I may have found my other niche genre: first person business sims. Ironic how I seek to satisfy my craving to escape RL work just to get bogged down by virtual work. But Nivalis looks really interesting .  Nivalis is a cyberpunk themed life-sim where you can run businesses in the city of its namesake, Nivalis. You will meet and befriend characters, create loyal customers, and even find love. Then you'll also be able to customize your own home.  Nivalis is a unique spin in the cozy genre to live and run a business in a cyberpunk themed city. It's appealing to own a house and multiple businesses in a cyberpunk city. At the same time, it doesn't feel limiting as players want to experiment on not only one business but multiple ones in a cyberpunk setting.  I'm curious if it will revolve around a story like its d...

As a big fan of life-sim games, Nivalis caught my attention because it portrays life in the opposite spectrum of the usual charming farm or island setting -- that is, life in a cyberpunk themed city. Nivalis seems interesting enough based on the premise of finding a place to live, a place to work, and a place to love. I remember that Cyberpunk 2077 planned to include this too as a sort of gameplay, where the player can have a routine of work to take a break from the main story (or even a break from the side-quests); I don't know what happened to that plan. Anyway, the thought of Nivalis is captivating. Nivalis is being developed by ION Lands, and their other game, Cloudpunk, is (also) a cybperpunk themed game where you deliver parcels.
