Animal Crossing: New Horizons ver. 2 update has simply won me back!

Nintendo just dropped the Version 2 trailer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and all I could say is WOW. This free MAJOR Content Update will hit on November 5, 2021. Well done, Nintendo! If you haven't played ACNH yet, the trailer below has answered a lot of the fan requests and they even added more! Honestly, those who have played ACNH before this version will truly appreciate these new additions more.

Here is the list of the additional content, new gameplay, and improvements.

  • Brewster is back and his cafe is in the Museum.
  • Villagers and town staff can also visit.
  • You can call other NPCs via Amiibo accessory. Other players can also relax in the cafe.
  • Kapp'n is back with his own Boat Tours to visit mysterious islands! New resources can be found on these mysterious island tours.
  • Harv Island has been significantly expanded!
  • New shops can be set up on Harv Island such as:
    • Harriet's salon is here so we can expect more hairstyles!
    • Sketch's shoe shop is a welcome addition.
    • Leif's planters and gardens is finally here.
    • Katrina's tent has arrived.
    • Cyrus and Reese has decided to join the fray with more ready made furniture.
  • I can see other Gyroids other than Lloid. Hmm...
  • Tortimer is still with us!
  • There is a new island activity such as morning stretches just like those 6AM radio exercises in ACPG. You can participate the group stretch using the joy-cons!
  • Island ordinances are back to enact your preferred way of life in the island such as encouraging villagers to wake up early, stay up late or fostering island wealth.
  • New home exteriors!
  • New Maximum house storage capacity up to 5000!
  • COOKING IS HERE! DIY Cooking Recipes!
  • Farming is here?! FARMING IS HERE!!
  • New items and decorations that can be put on ceilings!
  • New fences and customization too.
  • Pro camera app! Be able to take pictures in different ways now!
  • ANIMAL CROSSING IN FIRST PERSON! Oh how I imagined it back in that Mario Kart level!
  • I'm seeing more (a lot more!) slots to save custom patterns. This is low-key huge!
  • Patterns can now be applied to the floor or as a wallpaper akin to Sims 3.
  • New hairstyles that can be redeemed via NMT in addition to Harriet's hairstyles.
  • New player reactions.
  • Addition of Island Life 101: receive tips on your in-game mobile.
  • More items available to be redeemed via NMT. Yay!
  • We can now use a storage cabinet outside which directly links to your house storage.
  • An ATM outside the civic hall -- which is convenient.
  • Dang, they added more K.K. songs yo!
  • They've added cute Music boxes.
  • Okay, hold up. Gyroids are back! Searching and digging them up is back as an island routine! You can also customize Gyroids.
  • As mentioned previously on ceiling items, there are new items in Nook's Cranny.
  • Wooden Ladder set-up kits can be permanently installed next to your cliff as an alternative to slopes.
  • You can now scoot, squeeze, or sneak through tight spaces. Nice.
  • Invitation to villager homes AND villagers may also visit yours! Just like in ACNL!
  • The FPS Animal Crossing is really something else. It's much appreciated when I'm playing it docked too... GASP! ARE THOSE NEW VILLAGERS?!?!

I've highlighted the content I'm excited for in bold. This Free update is a solid update that has answered the requests of many AC fans and more!  They've filled it to the brim. Absolutely giddy and pleasantly surprised, Nintendo!

Hold up--

Did you know that there's an upcoming paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
