This simple addition will change Palworld with a win forever

There has been a ton of content added to Palworld since Feybreak and up to the Tides of Terraria major update (version 0.6). I was convinced to start a new world instead to discover (or rediscover) the changes in the game. In summary, I enjoyed Palworld again and I am absolutely happy from falling behind on the new content.

Although I discovered some issues that need to be addressed to further improve the game. But one thing is screaming that needs to be added while we're in early access.

Assigning a Pal to a Bed needs to be in the game fast!

We don't call them Pals without a reason. Players build their base, then assign their Pals to work, but it's a free for all at night? Strike while we're at early access, Pocket Pair. We should be able to tell our Pal which bed they can use.

This will add more personality to the game and a personal touch of creativity to the base. Players often share base layouts on the Internet too. A show and tell of some sort which drives hype and free advertising to your game too including casual players. Not to mention a feature perfect in Palworld.

The Sims does this but that's a totally different game and genre. Anyway, I digress.

Will Pocketpair do it?

I believe players will be able to assign a Pal to their own bed in the future.

It will work along the line of picking up and throwing the Pal on the nearest bed, then the Pal will figure out if there's a work task available. Or it can be a facility that lists the available beds inside the base radius and then fix the Pal there. It's a rudimentary start if each bed doesn't have a label then players will simply figure out which bed is which. But it's a start. If the bed is demolished, then un-fix the Pal. In the same way, if there aren't enough beds, then the extra Pal would sleep on the ground.

The fences add flare to the base building.

Imagine creating a village because of assigned beds.

Assigned beds reinforces the Palworld identity

Pals having their own bed would reinforce the game's identity of how players relate with their Pal. Whether they want the player to be lax or strict. Whichever spectrum it is, Pals are an important actor in the game rather than a prop in the base. Assigned beds simply emphasize that they're special.

Think about it, having your best off-party Pal beside your bed. Or creating a mining complex of Anubis with a dedicated closed living quarter with a bed. Or creating a Pal village with "dedicated" houses because there's an assigned bed inside. You're no longer restricted to building a pure production base as some players think of building a community instead.
